About Prevoyance
Prevoyance is currently a part-time songwriter/ composer based in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, writing music specifically targeting film, television, popular music and advertising projects. He has written over 50 songs to date.
Open to all types of imaginative influences in writing; Prevoyance creates visionary moods and soundscapes through beautiful textured fantasy based emotive music.
Prevoyance started writing in 1996-7 after years as a popular experimental underground DJ starting out with experimental 'beat matching' and synthesizer use at Zanies Discotheque (1982-1986). At this time he had a Roland JX3P, Korg Polysix and an OSCar synthesizerand. He then progressed with a main residency at Sirius Discotheque in Golden Hill Fort (1994-2000) where he played Tecnotrance and hardhouse alongside most of the top national and international DJ's.After picking up a workstation keyboard, computer, analogue desk and a sampler, 'Iceman' the DJ became 'Prevoyance', the songwriter, writing visual ambient and dance tracks to begin with,
The transition from creating dance music to visionary classical/film music was inspired by a great interest in movies and film scores, but triggered by meeting British film producer Robert Watts briefly in 1997 (whilst helping to develop a media centre) and the desire for a less fashionable and more emotional and natural feel of music that could stand the test of time. The first classically inspired song 'The Last Whale' was an emotive and environmentally motivated piece, penned for the depleting whale population.

Visiting Athens and Western Anatolia in the early Millennium and following such literatary genius as 'The Illiad' and 'The Odyssey' by Homer inspired Prevoyance to write a wealth of powerful eastern / Aegean & mythological related tracks, and the added influence of travel and culture still compels him to write more. Songs such as 'Echo's Song', 'Calypso's Dream' and 'Song for Pallas Athene' highlight the enthusiasm.
In the past few years he has been on compilation CD's with such artists as Taylor Mesple, Lynn Carey Saylor and Brian May (Queen) through the Reelsound film music project. He has also been global No 1 twice in MP3.COM's global Classical Romantic chart (of old), and No 6 and No.9 in MP3.COM's global dance chart (of old) with 'Gravity Wave' and 'Aurora',
In 2003 he entered a remix competition for a popular Greek artiste. The first judging was done by the artiste, producer and the label representative. Prevoyance's remix was one of 5 selected for the final online voting, and subsequently came second with 31.1% of the total votes. He was also a finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest 2004 and a Finalist and a double Semi-Finalist in the 2005 UK Songwriting Contest.
